30 Aug // php the_time('Y') ?>
The WTSUG meeting on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 was held from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at Potomac Libary of Montgomery County, 10101 Glenolden Drive, Potomac, MD 20854.
Agenda:
A very special treat – Via the internet John Clayburg will present his latest research on trading the Forex markets. Dr. Clayburg is a well known author and presenter at numerous trading conferences.
Bob G. will teach an EasyLanguage lesson on improving strategy/indicator optimizations and real-time performance.
For our August meeting, the lesson will focus on how to convert Functions into In-Line code and thereby reduce calculation time and improve CPU runtime utilization by up to 80%.
The starting point for the discussion will be the MACD Strategy and Indicator “built” in the July meeting. We will review the July versions (Functions) of the Strategy and Indicator in a side-by-side chart with the In-Line Strategy and Indicator and discuss each of the changes.
Most consider the conversion of Functions to In-Line code the single most important method to improve Backtesting and Realtime performance of TradeStation.
An ELD with both versions of the code will be provided so that you can study the techniques and incorporate them into your coding.
